Attendance and Practicing
Students will have one lesson per week. Additional lessons are possible, if desired.
Attendance is mandatory for all scheduled lessons and studio recitals from September through June (except in December when the holidays interfere). Summer months (July/August) are more flexible, taking into account vacations and family commitments.
In the event that Abra must cancel, a make-up lesson will be arranged.
Students are expected to be ready at the start of their lesson time with all necessary music and materials prepared. Lesson times cannot be extended for tardy students.
Without consistent practice, there will be no improvement. Students are expected to take full responsibility for his/her practice during the week. It is recommended that students practice the length of one's lesson each day.
A parent/guardian must be present for all lessons and studio recitals for students through school grade 5, unless previous discussion has resulted in other arrangements being made. The key to a child’s early musical success is parent involvement, and the priority that the family places on music in the home.
